Tell me about yourself, Stephanie.
I'm a Michigan native who recently graduated with a BFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.  I am highly influenced by nature, dreams, reincarnation, Native American mysticism, and the female Surrealist movement.  I love antiques and try to use as many as I can with my photography.  I am currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

How did you originally get into your craft?
As a child I was always creating.  I was also outdoors as much as possible.  My passion for art came from my older brother who was into drawing and making films.  I started drawing at a young age and was into that until after highschool. That's when I got a hold of a camera and I started taking photography classes at a local community college. In 2008  I was fortunate to receive a great scholarship to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design (in Savannah, Georiga )where I earned my BFA in Photography.  I graduated this past fall and am currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  I hope to participate in some local art shows and famer's markets.  I also sell my work online through my Etsy storefront.

What is your favorite thing to do in the whole wide world?
I love walking in my grandfather's fields and forests nearby.  I love searching for natural history objects as well as looking for arrowheads and pieces from the past.  I also love going to estate sales and thrift stores.  You could say I love hunting for that hidden item!

What is your biggest challenge when it comes to running your business?
Right now my biggest challenge is getting my name 'out there.'  I'd love to make a living selling my artwork, but I still have a long ways to go.

What item in your collection would you like to receive as a gift if someone were shopping for you?
I love this image so much!

When you were a kid, what did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
If I remember correctly, I wanted to be a veterinarian.

What other artists out there do you love?
My favorites include female surrealist painter, Remedios Varo and Frida Kahlo.

I also love Tom Chambers
Peter Leix
Maggie Taylor

What does your future hold?
Hopefully a long life with the people I love most as well as creating art that is both meaningful and beautiful.
