Joom Klangsin creates silk screen designs on fine fabrics such as silk and linen in the Organic Minimalism style. All natural elements come into play when designing Joom's pillows, tote bags, pouches, wall art, prints, and cards with the idea that the products should not only be a work of art, but be functional as well.

Tell me about how you originally got into your craft.
I grew up around my father's shoe factory. I think once my parents saw that I loved to draw they encouraged that in me. I’ve always wanted to be an illustrator or a designer. I like using different kinds of materials for my work. I am inspired by nature and my surroundings. You never know when a color-scheme or a shape might catch your eye.

What is your favorite thing to do in the whole wide world?
Relaxing on the beach with a beer in my hand.

What is your biggest challenge when it comes to running your shop?
I was new in terms of marketing. It was and still is quite a challenge for me. I'm learning everyday.

What item in your shop would you most like to receive as a gift if someone were shopping for you?
I really like my birdie desk calendar. I would be so excited if someone got me one of these limited calendars.

When you were a kid, what did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
I knew I was going to be an artist because I wasn't good at anything else.

What other shops out there do you love?
One of my good friend's shop. Joanna and I are bird lovers.
I love her creations. Check out her link at

What does your future hold?
I can't tell... I’m working on a lot of products at the moment. There will be some new stuffs coming out soon.
For now, enjoying life with my family.
