CreationsAnew Photography & Design offers the work of photographer Robin, who joined us for an interview from her home in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

Tell me about how you originally got into your craft.
I started this “hobby” about 5 years ago with my first digital camera. There is something gratifying about viewing your work immediately and not having to use a dark room.
I live in a picturesque part of the country and every season has something to photograph. Outside my back door and in any direction, I can find something to photograph.

What is your favorite thing to do in the whole wide world?
Besides photography and spending time with my family, I love studying God's Word. I teach a weekly Bible Study and a young adults Sunday School class.

What is your biggest challenge when it comes to running your shop?
I tend to be a bit lazy, so staying on task can sometimes be a challenge. The other challenge I have found is that the internet is constantly growing and changing; it seems that every week there is something new that I need to learn to keep up with the e-commerce community. It can be exhausting, so I'm learning to update and be willing to use new techniques and let go of some of the other outdated techniques that are no longer useful.

What item in your shop would you most like to receive as a gift if someone were shopping for you?
I love all forms of art, but I'm also practical; so items that are both beautiful and useful are my favorites.
I'm very proud of my "Mini Desk Set." This beautiful paperweight can set and be art while the notepad is practical and useful. The best of both worlds.

When you were a kid, what did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
I'm not a big dreamer; that must be my practical, side so I didn't have these grandiose dreams. I thought I would live in the city and manage an office the movie 9 to 5. I'm really telling my age now aren't I.

I never thought I would live in the country, homeschool my children, and run an e-commerce business...

What other shops out there do you love?
Gosh, I have so many, but here are a few of my faves
As you can see photography is really one of my favorite things to look at.

What does your future hold?
With both son's away at college next year I'm really hoping to expand my on-line presence.
