Tell me about how you originally got into your craft.
The seed was planted with my very first private art lesson when I was 6 years old. After decades of being involved in art and creativity in one form or another I just sort of naturally gravitated towards glass. I took classes at The Toledo Museum of Art, rented torch time there and I rented torch time at another studio. I couldn't get enough so I set up my own studio.

What is your favorite thing to do in the whole wide world?
Riding horses with my daughter out on the trail for hours and hours! Can't think of anything I'd rather do than be with her!

What is your biggest challenge when it comes to running your shop?
Promotion, promoting and being promoted! The biggest challenge is choosing the best promotional tools on the web and finding the time to use them. Directing people to your shop amid all the millions of distractions is a full time job!

What item in your shop would you most like to receive as a gift if someone were shopping for you?
I would love to receive my Good and Plenty Heart Pendant Necklace. I think the color combo of pink, black and orange is fresh and I love making the hearts.

When you were a kid, what did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
I always knew I was an artist so I had no choice. I didn't really know how to go about being an artist so lucky for me my parents started me on art lessons early. I was very fortunate in having some really great teachers. I have to admit, I did toy around with being either the Queen of the Roller Derby or the Bareback Rider in the Circus. Whatever it was, I knew it would be fun, creative and full of color!

What other shops out there do you love?
There are so many cool ones but here are a few:
Wool and Water Fiber Arts Studio

Diengie designs

Curlee Fine Art

Lina Khan

What does your future hold?
My future holds a lot of melted glass and good old fashioned hard work, organization, dedication and productive thinking to push the boundaries of my imagination and skill to leave my little space in the universe just as beautiful as I found it and, God willing, maybe a little better!
