KarmaRox

KarmaRox believes that what goes around, eventually comes back around! She seeks out vintage items that tell a story when you touch them, and she finds some true treasures for her fascinating little shop. We were delighted to have a little chat with Karma!

Tell me about how you originally got interested in vintage goods.
My Dad was always into vintage jewelry and old cars so I think he kind of rubbed off on me....I often went to flea markets with him early in the morning with a flashlight to find the best wares. It was so much fun! My Grandpa also had a love for old cars and collectible coins....and then there was my Mema who was a pack rat! I always loved going to her house and looking through her great finds. So I guess you could say, it runs in the family! I've loved old things, old cars and even old people since I was a wee one.

What is your favorite thing to do in the whole wide world?
Hmmmmmm....that's a tough one........I love to buy and resell--it is a true passion but my most favorite thing in the whole wide world is to probably go to the beach--I love the ocean, ocean life and finding seashells on the seashore!

What is your biggest challenge when it comes to running your shop?
My biggest challenge with my Etsy shop is staying visible and keeping the shop fresh and new. Listing items is also time-consuming so I kinda have to be 'in the mood' if you know what I mean--I have to get into a really special place to even have the patience to take a really good photo. HAHHAAAAA....oh that sounds funny, but it's so true!

What item in your shop would you most like to receive as a gift if someone were shopping for you?
Definitely this March Cherub-Vintage Charm Bracelet. The photos just don't do it justice!

When you were a kid, what did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
Well, a ballerina, of course! Didn't everyone? hahahaaaaaaa

What other shops out there do you love?
My favorite etsy shops:

JunkyardGypsy
KJBeads
ModCustomJewelry
ImagineStudio
LoriMarsha

and many, many more!

What does your future hold?
hmmmm....well that's a tough question. I do have a 'day job' usually but got laid off a year ago. Thank goodness I had a little nest egg so I wasn't destitute but I am currently searching for a day job in North Georgia (anybody out there? convo me...hee hee).......but I love selling online and will continue to do so. I also have a Brick and Mortar 'booth' that I rent in a antique mall that I enjoy very much and it does quite well.
